A Little Background Information

A native of north central Pennsylvania, Katherine Mallon-Day is an active performer in the Philadelphia area. She has performed with the Opera Company of Philadelphia chorus, and is alto soloist at St. Peter’s Church in the Great Valley. A singing actor as well, Katherine has performed with the Arden Theatre Company, the Media Theatre for the Performing Arts, the Peoples' Light and Theatre Company, Gretna Theatre, the Lost Colony in North Carolina and in Philadelphia FringeArts Festival. She has also been featured locally in cabaret and solo recitals.
Katherine is a graduate of University or Pennsylvania and Temple University, where she received Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance and Musicology. She has been a member of the Voice Faculty of Settlement Music School since 1987, and is a faculty member of Montgomery County Community College, in addition to maintaining a private voice studio in Paoli.
Kate shares her life with husband Rich and two crazy Jack Russell Terriers, Willow and Merlin. For over a decade they spent summers studying bottlenose dolphins and operating an educational eco-tour in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Kate is an avid plant person, ardent animal lover, and zealous recycler. Her favorite pastime (other than making music!) is hiking with family, friends and, of course, the dogs.
